A perfect tip for a trip for the whole family is the Mining Museum Krásno. The word museum is somewhat misleading in this case. This is not some dusty display case with exhibits, but rather a mining open-air museum. The museum is located in the area of the historic Vilém tin mine.
Mining Museum Krásno
There are several buildings in the area, which are supplemented by thematic exhibitions. It is very difficult to single out the most interesting. Children will certainly be thrilled by a ride on a mining train, which is part of a demonstration of rail transport used both on the surface and underground. This installation also includes various types of locomotives and wagons. There is also a huge track layer made in Chelyabinsk under the open sky. A single giant exhibit required a separate building. The mining steam engine from the Marie mine in Královské Poříčí from 1897. It is incredible that this giant steam engine worked until 1994. In order for it to be installed in the former tin ore treatment plant in Krásno, the roof of this building had to be removed. The huge model of the mine created according to the drawings of Georgio Agricola will certainly take your breath away. And there is really a lot to see. There are many different types of mining wagons. The exhibition also includes a collection of minerals from this area.
