On the northern slopes of the former Medard brown coal mine, one of the great paleontological attractions of the Egeria National Geopark - the Stone Stumps - can be found. They are located about 500 meters south of the Masák viewpoint on the eastern edge of Habartov in the local district of Kluč. They are mineralized remains of trees that were buried here with a layer of tuff during a volcanic eruption more than twenty million years ago. They have still preserved the structure of the wood, and an attentive observer will find pieces with leaf prints among them.
