Memorable trees in the geopark

The Oak at Dolíšky is a memorial tree, a pedunculate oak (Quercus robur), which grows below the northern end of the dam of the Dolíška pond, formerly a drinking water reservoir for the town of Hranice, southwest of the town of Hranice in the Cheb district of the Karlovy Vary Region. The massive and tall healthy oak is the most massive oak in the Aš region. The trunk circumference measures 446 cm, the high-set crown reaches a height of 32 m (measured in 2014). The tree was declared a memorial tree in 1995 as an aesthetically interesting tree with significant growth, a landscape dominant and a historically important tree.
