The Jedlová spring is interesting for its exceptionally high carbon dioxide content, which exceeds 3000 mg/l, which gives it a pleasant and refreshing taste. The water is classified as cold, weakly mineralized bicarbonate-chloride sodium-magnesium spring water. Its healing effect on the human body has never been studied, but it will surely be enjoyed by everyone.

Previously, it was allegedly possible to observe the periodic alternation of the spring, the so-called intermittency, at intervals of 9 and 20 seconds. This phenomenon disappeared with later modifications to the spring and also with changes in the groundwater level.
An old German local history says: "the spring was purchased in 1920 by the Mariánské Lázně hotelier Hans Haubner, who newly modified the collection and called it, purely for commercial reasons, Christ's Spring. He later sold the spring to the Spa Company of Mariánské Lázně, which, however, did not use it for further bottling."
After World War II, the spring was no longer used for any commercial purposes and has remained freely accessible to this day. The old tin roof was replaced in 202 by the current wooden gazebo and the new Kosí potok bridge. The spring originally flowed from a tin tube near the siding, which was later concreted and replaced with a plastic pipe after the borehole was opened.
The mineral spring is now a popular table water used by local residents.
The temperature of the spring fluctuates slightly between 7 and 8 °C, the total mineralization is approximately 2,300 mg/liter. The carbon dioxide content is high, reaching 3,000 mg/liter, which gives the mineral water high effervescence and a pleasant taste. The mineral water has a slightly increased sodium content of 332 mg/liter and silicon dioxide (SiO2) of 32 mg/liter. The pH value is 5.5. The information board at the mineral water gazebo states that the quality of the mineral water is not regularly monitored and drinking it is at your own risk.
